EXTRA-EXTRA...READ ALL ABOUT IT!! There were just three couples selected out of over 400 entries and I was lucky enough to be selected. So we flew out there, along with the 2 other couples, news director, reportor, cameraman and about 3,000 pounds of misc. camera equipment for 4 days. After arriving at the airport we were picked up by a stretch limo and taken to the MGM Grand where we stayed in the Grand Towers. The trip also included tickets to Cirque Du Solei, along with tickets to the Super Bowl Party at the Harley Davidson Cafe. The televison station decided that the focus of my segment would be the gambling side of visiting Vegas. I have lots of do's and don'ts about gambling and little ways of trying to minimize the house edge while playing craps and Black Jack, so they decided that I was now their "Gambling Guru". I didn't have the heart to remind them that Las Vegas was built with the money of gamblers who had systems! You'll also see a special Cameo appearence by the Palms poker room manager and big time chip collector Gene Trimble. Much of the video footage was filmed at the Palms Casino. To view the video clip just click the link below. Please excuse the 10 second commercial at the very beginning.

~Chip Collecting Special Segment On CBS TV-11~ While out in Las Vegas with the TV reporter and camera crew, the news director became quite interested in the fact that I was a collector of casino chips. He wasn't aware that people would actually choose NOT to turn them in for cash but rather collect them instead. Thus was born the idea of a special TV segment on Chip Collecting. Although the main focus of the report was of me, Gene Trimble was also featured. The majority of the filming was done in my home with our local CBS Television newscaster Jerry Anderson. The filming of Gene Trimble was done on location in Las Vegas at the Palms Casino. To view the video clip, click the link below.
