2001  Saint Maarten

The Island of Saint Maarten/Sint Martin is one of the few caribbean islands that is owned by two seperate countries. St. Maarten is own by Denmark while Sint Martin is owned by France.

Casinos and legalized gambling is only on the dutch side. Each country has it's own downtown; Margot on the french side, and Philipsburg on the dutch side.

Saint Maarten has many casinos both in the capital city of Philipsburg as well as at many of the resorts.
